CMBC_logo_vailvalley_2cBeaver Creek Oktoberfest and Crazy Mountain Brewery have teamed up to make this year’s Beaver Creek Oktoberfest the best yet.  Each year Beaver Creek creates a custom authentic stein that you can purchase as supplies last.  You will be able to fill your stein at the event with any of the micro brew selections that Crazy Mountain is brewing up exclusively for this event.  Read the descriptions of the beer below and keep checking our website to learn about the brewing process and special opportunities to taste these beers before the event.

Scenic Route Kolsch:

A traditional beer from the Cologne region of Germany, this lighter style beer has a straw-yellow hue and a light but pronounced hop character. Stylistically, this is a very unique and rare ale coming out of the largely lager regions of Germany.

Crazy Mountain Oktoberfest:

A beer with a very rich history, this style was historically brewed by the Germans in March for the Oktoberfest festival in Munich in September. This lager offers a clean pallet with a deep caramel character and a slight hopiness. This beer is a showcase of craftsmanship and patience and is a perfect way to celebrate the end of summer and the onset of fall in the mountains.

Verruckt Dunkelweizen:

A traditional dark German wheat beer, the term “dunkel” translates to “dark” while the term “weizen” translates to “wheat”. This beer offers more complexity then its lighter cousin, the Hefeweizen, with light notes of chocolate and caramel overlaying the traditional Hefeweizen character.

Lava Lake Wit:

This Ale is our take on a classic Belgian Wit Beer. To make this beer unique, we add un-malted wheat, rolled oats, two varieties of classic European hops, chamomile, curacao orange peel, coriander, grains of paradise, and a rare yeast strain from the Old Country. This is a brew that can be enjoyed both on the slopes or on the beach.

Mountain Livin’ Pale Ale:

We utilize two types of American hops in such a way that we put the flavor of these hops center stage and let their bitterness fade into the background. The hop-forward character of this beer shines through in the unique, tropical fruit flavor of two American hop varieties. Enjoy this beer with a fresh approach to how a Pale Ale expresses its inner hoppiness.

Drink A Peach, Peach IPA

Special malt gives this beer a dark brown color as well as a velvety, slightly sweet mouthfeel. We selected an exotic hop varietal that enhances the aroma of the Palisade Peaches that we hand selected for this beer. This beer offers a fresh nose full of peaches while keeping the peach flavor well balanced with the hops.
